The third volume of drawings done on paper placemats by the obsessive non-stop Robert Crumb. All the images in this beautifully produced hardcover landscape book were indeed made while Crumb was waiting to be served in restaurants. At an exhibition of these in a New York Art Gallery some sold for thousands of dollars! The food stains on the paper (which don't show up on the reproductions in this book) actually enhanced the value, according to the gallery owner. The grease marks gave them an ambience that had an uncanny appeal to art buyers. That's the art world for you as Crumb says himself in the introduction.
